2. The training program “Kalayanee Kulsatri Udomsueksa” (literal translated as noble ladies with higher education): The program was aimed at establishing a curriculum model to implant awareness and value of precious attributes of Thai noble ladies. This model was expected to change the role of Thai young ladies to suit the ongoing cross-cultural era. The program was also aimed at creating youth leaders who were expected to apply the special vocational skills and knowledge learned from specialists to their future professions. This could partially solve the problems relating to improper uses of free time among the youths or lessen the chances that they might involve in vice. The program allowed young Thai ladies to acquire special knowledge and skills and presented the image of “noble ladies with higher education”, boosting the value of beauty and pride among Thai ladies, i.e., the precious attributes widely accepted by the society. Furthermore, the outcome from the training program could also be \used for future international cultural exchange programs. June 21 to August 10, 2008 Thirty students aged 14-18 years old from high schools in Bangkok were selected to join the program.
